The focus on purpose has been emphasised by many theories and writers but it is so often ignored. In my experience, it is a big scary fuzzy question to question why an organisation exists.
As someone, starting their own business, I have wrestled this question myself. It is so much easier to tell people what I can do and how I will do it and so tempting to ignore the purpose question. My previous experience, an exploration over the last few months, and some soul searching means my why is:
